We have pledged to raise 10k for
the Blue Cross by returning & recycling your empty
printer cartridges in 2011/2012
How to get involved?
Call or send
our team an email to say you have used, empty or
unwanted printer cartridges ready for collection. All
we need to know is the number of cartridges you have
ready for collection.
If our drivers are regularly delivering
goods to you we can collect on delivery to save space
in your office. We can also provide a free collection
bin which can store your empty cartridges and on collection
of a full box provide a replacement bin. This is a free
service to you and will raise valuable funds by returning
your used units for recycling.
At Aston & James we see this
as not only an opportunity to be green but to also raise
funds for the amazing work that the Blue Cross do locally
at their Burford Headquarters and other sites throughout
the UK.
The Blue Cross - helping animals
for more than 100 years...
The Blue Cross has been caring for needy
animals since 1897. It's one of the UK's leading pet
charities and today it helps them in lots of different
ways. Its network of adoption centres and pet fosterers
take in unwanted animals, from hamsters to horses, and
finds them loving new homes and its hospitals and welfare
clinics treat pets whose owners can't afford private
vet fees. The charity also offers free advice to help
promote responsible pet ownership.
The Blue Cross doesn't receive any government
funding so it relies on donations from the public to
pay for its work. You can find out more about The Blue
Cross and the animals it helps at: www.bluecross.org.uk.
Pippa's story
Little Pippa was only a few days
old when she was found abandoned at a farm with her
two brothers. Without their mum to care for them, the
kittens were in a bad way.
Sadly Pippa's siblings were too
weak to survive. One died only a few hours after arriving
at The Blue Cross and the other died shortly after,
leaving Pippa fighting for her life. The next few days
were crucial for Pippa and staff at the charity's Lewknor
adoption centre took it in turns to take her home and
care for her during the night.
Pippa is a true fighter and, along
with the love and care she received, she grew stronger
every day. She blossomed into a happy, playful and confident
kitten who was adored by everyone. She was soon playing
with a litter of kittens that were born at the centre.
Pippa held a special place in everyone's heart and the
staff were delighted when she was adopted.
