You may already be aware of our support of local charity SeeSaw. Until now, our fundraising has primarily been focused on ink and toner cartridge recycling. We donate money every time we collect your used cartridges for recycling. This way we help to fund important community work whilst also helping to protect the environment. What are compatible cartridges?
Compatible cartridges are often referred to as remanufactured cartridges. These cartridges are made for your specific branded machine but not by the manufacturer. They are produced using recycled components and are made to the highest standard to bring you excellent results that rival the original product.
Why choose compatible cartridges?
The main reason for choosing compatible cartridges is cost. Compatible versions are better value for money compared with original products, whilst retaining the high standard you expect from the manufacturer. They are tested and meet all relevant ISO standards. You benefit from sharp, high yield printing at a lower price.

We plan our van routed meticulously to save carbon emissions. We collect and deliver only when required, helping to reduce van miles and contribute to healthier air quality.

We’re still recycling too!
In addition to donating £1 from the qualifying range marked with a purple label, we are continuing to collect your used cartridges for recycling. 97% of the components within printer cartridges can be recycled. Our free collections allow you to benefit from an efficient and hassle-free recycling service to save cartridges heading to landfills and polluting the environment. We supply you with a storage box and collect any used ink and toner cartridges when we deliver your office products. All qualifying returns made from the recycling of cartridges are then passed to SeeSaw.

SeeSaw is a small, independent Oxfordshire charity that provides grief support to local children, young people and their families and/or carers. They provide information, advice, resources, consultations, training, support for schools, and face-to-face support sessions for children and young people, usually within their own homes. During the pandemic, they have relied on digital platforms such as Skype and FaceTime to offer one-to-one support for children and parents as well as provide advice by telephone and email. Their service is unique, free of charge and they do not receive any government funding, which is why Aston & James is so dedicated to fundraising.
